Before Your Appointment
A few things that'll help you get the most out of your visit:
Book your venue first. It's exciting to jump straight to the dress, but knowing where and when you're getting married really helps shape the styling conversation.
Come as you are. I'm a big believer in body positivity. If you're planning to lose weight before the wedding, please don't wait to book — you'll save yourself sleepless nights, and dresses can always be altered closer to the day. My aim is simply to make you feel amazing, exactly as you are today.
What to bring: the right underwear makes a big difference to how a dress sits. I'd recommend a high-rise, no-VPL short — M&S do a great 3-pack.
Come with an open mind. Know your rough budget, and trust the process — it really can happen, first shop, first dress.
Accessories appointments are open to everyone, not just Lavender & Jude brides — just bring your dress with you. Veils and headpieces currently take 6–8 weeks to order, so it's worth thinking about sooner rather than later.
