Yes! I don’t employ a seamstress and all the people I recommend are self employed. Altering a wedding dress Is a specialist skill and is charged accordingly.

It is essential that you take your shoes and a good idea to wear the underwear you are planning on wearing on the day.

Be prepared to pay between £150 to £500 depending on the amount of work that needs doing.

This is a tricky question to answer. Generally between 2-3 is the average. Sometimes if all that needs doing is the length then you might only need the initial fitting. If however you change weight once the process has begun then expect to have more.
